Glasfryn Wake Parc

Following the success of last Autumn’s trial period, Glasfryn Parc have now installed a permanent Sestitec System 2.0 cable tow on their beautiful freshwater lake – it’s the first wakepark to open in Wales and the park has been a massive success so far with sessions being fully booked throughout the summer. The System offers the ideal way for both beginners and those who may have tried wakeboarding before to enjoy the sport whatever the weather, and the sheltered location means that the water conditions will be near perfect even if the wind is blowing a hoolie and sea conditions may be unsuitable for wakeboarding.
The System is engineered so that riders can make a figure of eight style turn so giving them the opportunity to practise their skills and improve their riding without having to stop and start. Complete beginners will find it easier to get up using the cable than behind a boat, and for the more experienced rider who is wanting to progress their riding further, Glasfryn have installed a kicker and the Relentless Leviathan (last seen being hit by the pro’s at Wakestock) is residing in the lake. So if you fancy the chance to hit the Leviathan which has been graced by the touch of Randall Harris, Aaron Rathy and many other world renowned names get yourself over to Glasfryn!
Each session lasts an hour and costs £20 per person (max 4 people per hour) Full instruction is provided from a British Waterski Federation qualified and experienced wakeboarding instructor to make all riders feel at ease and gradually build their confidence in a non-intimidating and relaxed environment. All equipment including wetsuit, wakeboard, vest and helmet hire are included, and full changing facilities with hot showers are available on site. The minimum age is 8 years old and you must be a competent swimmer to have a go. Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment but you can just rock up and ride (depending on availability.)
