July Storm Damage

Pen Llyn was hit by a fierce storm last Thursday (July 15th) with gale force winds of up to 87mph battering the coastline - damaging boats, felling trees and also causing a loss of electrical supplies to many homes and businesses. Minxpix photographers John Wormald captured the damage on the main beach, you can also see that a large shelf was created on the main beach by the resulting storm surge. Current weather reports show the weather improving this weekend - lets hope summer is back to stay!
