Help for Heroes

Help for Heroes is a charity set up to support those wounded in action and the familes that help them. They work to provide much needed rehabilitation and services to make thier lives easier. In aid of Help for Heroes Appeal a spectacular coaching trip will arrive in Abersoch on 17th October. There will be two teams of horses and two road coaches, the sort of thing you would have seen on the road in the 1800's.
The route takes them from the West Midlands and over the Berwyns into Bala, then on to Maentwrog, then after a slight detour to sight see in Bedgelert, to Portmeirion, followed by Criccieth and finally Abersoch. The trip will take them five days, and they hope to raise money on route for Help for Heroes. Appropriately, one of the teams of horses is the "Household Cavalry Team" and some money will also be raised for the Household Cavalry Fund for their injured soldiers. Because of the nature of the Welsh countryside, the trip is quite challenging for a team of four horses and coach, as they have no disc brakes and it takes great skill to control them. The teams hope to arrive in Abersoch on Saturday 17th October between 4 and 5pm. Watch out for them and offer your support.
