Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw's Christmas Exhibition
Work by 30 professional artists will be on show at the Christmas Exhibition at Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw. The exhibition by gallery artists is an opportunity to view and buy some of the finest artwork produced in Wales. Participating artists include: Aled Prichard Jones, Anne Aspinall, Beth Fletcher, Ceri Auckland Davies, Carys Bryn, Colin Palmer, David Grosvenor, Elfyn Lewis, Elin Huws, Gareth Parry, Gareth Thomas, Howard Coles, Iwan Dafis, Iwan Gwyn Parry, Karel Lek, Kim Atkinson, Luned Rhys Parri, Mike Jones, Ray Wilkinson, Sonja Benskin Mesher, Stephen John Owen, Tom Jones, Valerie Land, William Selwyn, Deanne Doddington Mizen, Roland George, Karl Davies, Naoko Shibuaya, Elaine Jeffreys . To coincide with the Christmas exhibition a programme of festive activities is planned, to include musical concerts a craft fair and a special Christmas menu within the Tea Room. A truly warm festive welcome awaits you as you enter the gallery hall with a roaring log fire and the tallest Christmas tree on the LlynPeninsula in situ. You can also combine your visit with an opportunity to complete your Christmas shopping as the gallery shop stocks the best Welsh made crafts on offer. The interest free Collector-plan Scheme is also available to anyone who wishes to purchase an original artwork or print to the value of £50 or more. The exhibition opened at 2pm on Sunday the 8th of November and runs up to Christmas Eve 2009. available during November which will offer some interesting, warming
dishes for these colder times, at great prices. The offer is only
available in the restaurant but the usual 15% discount applies to
takeaway orders and does not include side dishes. The cheapest dish

Bwydlen Parti Nadolig 2009 -Christmas Party Menu 2009 Thai Prawn & Black Pepper Crackers Cwrs Cyntaf -Starters Vegetable and mushroom spring rolls -served with sweet chilli sauce (v) Crispy wontons -made with vegetables, water chestnuts and spring onion and sesame seeds served with sweet chilli sauce (v) Crispy duck spring rolls -served with sweet chilli sauce Honey and garlic spare ribs Seafood fishcakes -served with a cucumber, peanut and sweet chilli salsa Chicken satay -chicken breast marinated in cumin, ground coriander, turmeric and lemongrass served with peanut sauce Bangkok pepper -half a roasted red pepper stuffed with mince pork jasmine rice, chill and coriander served with a sauce originating from Bangkok called “Lun” made with yellow beans, lemongrass, coconut milk and chilli Cwrs Cawl -Soup course Tom yum soup a traditional Thai broth of lemongrass, ginger, lime, chilli with prawns, chicken or vegetables (v) Mushroom, ginger and vegetable and yellow bean noodle soup (v) Prif Cwrs -Main course Lamb Massaman – Welsh lamb shank gently braised in a rich cumin, cinnamon, star anise curry sauce with peanuts and sweet potatoes. 22nd until December 23rd 2009, upon which the restaurant will close for
the winter – reopening in the first week of March next year.
