SUPORT A GOOD CAUSE IN 2010

We know that all you Abersochians are fantastic when it comes to raising money for a good cause. So read and see just what you can do to support local man Ian Bartle form the Riverside and his friend Tim Walker as they set off on the Plymouth Dakar Challenge to raise money for MS Charity The Multiple Sclerosis Society. Tim's wife Nicky was diagnosed with MS three years ago and is doing well thanks to research and professional help and support for the specialist MS team in North Staffordshire and Cheshire. The challenge Ian and Tim are hoping to undertake involves travelling 4,800 miles through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Mali eventually after three weeks arriving in Bamako. All this will take place in a £100 ebay bought Lada Cossack! This is a real challenge and for a great cause. You should show your support by going to www.justgiving.co.uk/timbuctu On arrival in Bamko, the Lada itself will then be autioned to raise money for much needed projects in Mali. We hope that you will chose to support Ian and Tim on their trip. We will be keeping you updated on their progress and covering the whole trip in the spring issue of Abersoch Sensation Magazine.
