FEEDER, ROBYN, ALEX GAUDINO AND LOADS MORE ANNOUNCED FOR RELENTLESS WAKESTOCK AS R.A.F. CONFIRM THEIR RETURN.

Relentless Wakestock 2010 is only 7 weeks away and things are really hotting up. More new additions have been added to the line up and the R.A.F will be returning with more aeronautical acrobatics to fill the skies of the Llyn Peninsula during the first weekend in July.

The latest line-up additions are the legendary Welsh rockers FEEDER who will return to the event to play to their home crowds. They loved playing the event back in 2006 and can’t wait to return. With an immense back catalogue of real festival anthems and new album due out this summer, they will go down a storm. When asked about how they felt to be retuning to Wakestock this year they said “We are thrilled to be coming back. We will be just back from Japan the previous day so will be looking forward to the sun and sea of Abersoch. Our last visit in 2006 was a blast.”
Joining them is Swedish pop sensation ROBYN. This girl knows how to get the party started with hits such as her number 1 “Every Heart Beat.” The Grammy award winning singer will make her first visit to Welsh shores for her awesome full live set as a special guest of Pete’s Tong’s in the main arena.
Italian DJ legend ALEX GAUDINO is also confirmed. His massive song “Destination Calabria” is one of the most viewed dance videos with over 20 million views on You Tube alone. Other big tracks “Watch Out” and latest release “I’m In Love” are all favourites on most dance music fans ipods!

There’s a strong Welsh line-up of ‘new music’ bands also added to the Wakestock bill that are poised to take their music to the next level. Acts like YR ODS, MASTERS IN FRANCE, POLLY MACKEY & THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE, Y NIWL, PETE LAWRIE, THE LAST REPUBLIC and Abersoch band THE KICKBACKS all have good slots over the weekend, joining the likes of Feeder, Race Horses & Los Campesinos. Radio 1 DJ & new music ambassador, Huw Stephens will be returning to North Wales to host his own stage as well as a live show on Radio 1 from Wakestock, so no doubt these bands will all benefit from the massive influence he has on the national music scene.
Other additions to the line-up include THE COUNT & SINDEN, famous for their chart topping single “Beeper”, Mixmag’s favourite & Radio 1 DJ, KISSY SELL OUT along with names now synonymous with Wales’s largest music festival GOLDIEROCKS, TIM LYALL & PLASTIC THUMBS, all joining the likes of MAXIMO PARK, TING TINGS, N DUBZ, THE FUTUREHEADS, ERIC PRYDZ, FEDDE LE GRAND and recent chart topping acts like TINIE TEMPAH, ROLL DEEP and PLAN B.

These latest additions are announced alongside the first release of the INDIVIDUAL LINE UPS for each night. Now you can plan your whole weekend and get hold of the necessary tickets.

With the announcement of the individual night line ups you may want to go for the brand new option of SINGLE NIGHT CAMPING TICKETS. This is a first for the festival and will allow people to buy a single day ticket & a camping ticket together. There are many reasons why people can only be part of the festival for one day. You can choose which day and night you’d like to stay and if you want to just go to the festival on the Friday you can take advantage of Thursday night camping too. All options are £65 and available to buy now.

Wakestock has built up a great relationship with the RAF over the years and this year will see them return to the event. The crowds can look forward to what are sure to be spectacular displays from The RAF Falcons, The RAF Typhoons and a fly by from an RAF Dakota. After the stunning display by the Red Arrows last year there will be even more aerial stunts to witness.

The RAF Falcons are widely recognised as the UK’s premier military Parachute Display Team. The Team is comprised of some of the best military parachute instructors in the world. They are looking forward to performing their spectacular, colourful and courageous aerial display over the Wakestock site on the Friday afternoon where they will perform a times drop, landing in full view of the crowds in the centre of the festival site. The Falcons will emerge from a Second World War RAF Dakota Aircraft in the skies above the site.
The Falcons will share the airspace with the RAF Typhoons, a combat aircraft display team who tour the country in between continuing operational commitments. The Typhoon is an agile, single seat, multi-role aircraft optimised for high altitude supersonic air combat. They are renowned for providing awesome displays. To make sure that you don’t miss out, get there early on the Friday afternoon to sit back and enjoy this treat.

Now on the World Wakeboard Series the biggest event in the sport will see the biggest stars of wakeboarding fly over from all corners of the globe to North Wales to compete for the coveted crown of Wakestock champion. This will be the first time that the world’s best are guaranteed and is something definitely worth getting to Pwllheli Marina for during the weekend.

Wakestock takes place on Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th July in Penrhos, Abersoch & Pwllheli. All tickets options are available to buy through the Wakestock website
www.wakestock.co.uk and it is recommended that you book now to avoid disappointment. You really don’t want to miss out on this years event! Dont' forget you can also purchase tickets through local shops - Fat Face opposite Abersoch Cafe and OSD.
